Love
|
Love, Lovey, Love Bug - this mare is such a dear all these names apply. The women who rescued Love decided we would call her this as it is part of her AQHA registered name, and it fits. She had been
living with a local horse neglecter whom many folks had tried to stop. Animal control laws are not tight enough in this area to do something about a very thin animal if the owner has food, water and shelter, no matter the quality. A caring neighbor asked to adopt Love for a dollar this last January because she
was alarmed about her condition. She also witnessed this 23 year old girl give birth in the mud a couple months earlier to a foal which had to be destroyed. Although I had seen a photo of Love and knew she was very thin, I was shocked at her degree of lameness. We had been told she had a front hoof lameness
due to an abcess. None of her legs worked well. She crept along with her back arched and it was a miserable sight. With much gratitude to our exceptional veterinarian, Hannah Evergreen, Love is now able
to move much more freely. Her sacrum was rigid. Dr. Evergreen persisted in adjusting Love who has now achieved much more freedom of movement in spite of an old, healed pelvic fracture. She is unlikely to become fully sound, but she is comfortable.
Love has had a dental float, vaccines and worming. She has great feet and is good to trim. She is a gentle, kind soul looking for her forever home.
Available on a gift contract. A donation towards her recovery expenses would be much appreciated.

Danny
(Dancing Light)
|
|
Danny (Dancing Light) is a really soft, sweet horse. He was anxious when he first arrived and kept an eye on us. After a few days he just sort of exhaled and seemed to think 'okay-this is okay.' He is going to be a wonderful friend to the right person. He wants to trust and I believe he will bond deeply. Danny has kind eyes with a beautiful face and gorgeous color...........he's a head turner! I can say that he is the sort of horse I would like to keep here forever. He is 15-2 hands and seven years old. UTD with all shots, hoof care, teeth etc. Adoption fee is $650.

Roxy
|
|
Little Rox is the daughter of Whiskey, a large buckskin Quarter Horse mare rescued from a feedlot. Whiskey's
former owner believes that her sire is a Thoroughbred/Percheron cross. Thanks to the determination and
generosity of Tasha G., Rox was purchased last March and moved from Ephrata to our farm. Rox was six months
old at the time and not halter broke, never had her feet trimmed or apparently any health care. She was extremely
thin, sick with a respiratory infection and a belly full of worms. She was so weak at the time that her hocks
knocked together when she walked.
She has blossomed into a wonderful girl! I cannot tell you how much I have
enjoyed having a baby around the place! She is halter trained, her feet handle quietly and she loves to be groomed.
She picked the kindest gelding on the place as her new papa and he has instilled his good nature in her. She runs
like a nut and is robustly healthy. For those of you who were puzzled about her color (like me) she seems to be a
liver chestnut with brindling on her legs. And she is growing a fabulous tail! She does have a small umbilical
hernia which our vet is watching.
Her adoption fee is $250, contract required.

Hunny Bunny
|
|
Hunny is a sturdily built 14 hand Pony of the Americas. She is a buckskin with a blanket.
She is blind in her left eye due to uveitis and has adjusted well. Her health is good in all
other respects. Hunny is current on dental care, hoof care, vaccines and worming. Her attitude is
easy going: she is well trained and willing, she loads, ties and stands for the vet or hoof trims
quietly. Adoption requires application and adoption contract which includes a no breeding clause.
Adoption fee: $400

|
|
Red dun Quarter Horse gelding with a heart of gold. Dew worked hard in his younger years as a
roping horse. He is now 22 and in good condition: he is sound and his teeth are exceptional for his age.
He gets along well with other horses, ties, loads and stands for trims quietly. He is a quiet ride but
not suited for a beginner. Due to his former career he is very responsive to leg cues. A person who has
learned to control their legs can ride him easily. He is current on vaccines, worming, dental care and
hoof trims. Just looking for a new best friend.
Adoption fee: $500

Faith
|
|
After many months of rehabilitation, Faith is ready for a new home. She has had sugery on one
foot and we are uncertain about her ability to carry a rider in the future. She is no longer lame and
is able to run and play in the field with no hesitation. She is a five year old, true black mare-with
a white spot on one hind coronary band. She is gentle to handle on the ground, loads readily and gets
along well with the other horses. Will make an excellent companion to another horse. She is current on
dental care and vaccines. A no breeding clause is included in our adoption contract.
Adoption fee: $300

Solano
|
|
This Quarter Pony is a delightful six month old colt. He has a blaze and a couple white socks. I believe he will mature to 14 hands, judging by the size of his sire and dam. He has nice substance and a good attitude. He leads, jumps readily into a horse trailer and stands for hoof trims. He is current on health care. He is not yet gelded but will be before placement. Born May of 2007. Please contact us if you would like to meet Solano (sunshine). His adoption fee is $325.00.
